My wife and I are spending a few days relaxing in Branson, MO. Of course, we had to try some of the local Ozark style BBQ. We ate at a local place called Gettin' Basted. The pitmasters have won a number of competitions. They placed as finalists in the 2022 World BBQ Championships in Houston for their brisket. My wife ordered the burnt ends and I ordered the Waygu brisket. Both were tender and tasty. The brisket had a pronounced smoke ring about 3/8" wide. The burnt ends had a great bark. The sides were pretty good as well. The sauce has a nice blend of tangy, sweet, and spicy. While related to the KC Style BBQ sauces, it had a character of its own.
Thus, as a lover of good BBQ, I highly recommend this place if you are ever in Branson, MO. There are some other places for BBQ here as well, but I won't get a chance to try them.
