What do y'all think about the different grease management systems?
I am intrigued by the "Ez Clean Management System" in the Timberline and Gen 2 Ironwoods.
I cook a lot of bacon on my Silverton and am wondering if the Ez Clean Drip Tray/system will be better for the bacon grease.
My son's Traeger junior finally died. So, I am giving him my Silverton and buying myself something new.
Thanks for thoughts and guidance.

I have an Ironwood 885. I HATE cleaning up grease. Thus, I typically place a cookie sheet lines with heavy duty aluminum foil on the bottom shelf and cook on the top shelf. If I need to cook on the bottom shelf, I place the cookie sheet directly on top of the Traeger drip tray.

After each cook, I examine the aluminum foil in cookie sheet. If necessary, I toss it in the garbage and replace it. Occasionally, I have to wash the cookie sheet. Since adopting this practice, I have never had to clean grease out of my grill, drip tray, grease chute, or grease bucket.

I have a Gen 2 Ironwood and like the Ez Clean system. Traeger make it sound like a cure all "magic" system, think they describe it as a breeze which it most certainly is not because it does take some effort but it is a big step up from my previous 575 Pro.

No replaceable drip tray liners or wrapping stuff in aluminium foil, just a plastic scraper and an ash brush and everything goes down the hole into the large foil bucket. There are less places for grease to accumulate and much of it does run straight in to the 2 in 1 keg straight away but conversely some effort is required to scrape residual grease off the drip tray for example.

In terms of effort to keep clean I would give it a 7/10 compared to say 3/10 maybe 4/10 tops for the old system. Conversely not sure what could be done to further improve it further given the very nature of the thing?
