Do I need a Fireboard if I already have Wifire

I got a 575 a few months ago and have been really happy with it, wifire has worked very well for me also.
Ive been reading all the good stuff about the fireboard thermometer and was wondering if its something I really need?
I'm no stranger to smoking meat and have a remote thermometer already but the traeger wifire combo seems to be doing well.

Many people find the Traeger probes are wildly inaccurate so we use the Fire Board 2 to monitor the pit and food temps. I find it's a great compliment to the Traeger WiFire technology. I use the Traeger app to adjust the temp up or down based on what my Fire Board is showing and really don't pay a lot of attention to the Traeger temperature (i.e. if I want a 220 cook I usually set my Traeger app to around 240 and adjust up or down until my Fire Board probe shows 220).

I also use the Traeger app to shut down and keep warm mode.

The Fire Board is also very good at real time tracking (graphing), note taking, adding pictures to the cooks, high and low temp alarms, etc.

You can also get 6 probes on the Fire Board so for example you can have ambient probes on either side of the grill and one ambient next to the Traeger probe to monitor heat distribution across the grill while you monitor the IT temp of 2 pork shoulders and a rack of ribs.

Do you need it? No. Should you want it? YES!

You need to accurately get the temperature. The factory grill probe is notoriously inaccurate, if not a FireBoard then another calibrated thermometer…
It is all about the IT not the time….

One of the coolest things about Fireboard is the web access and the ability to share cooks on the Interwebs along with pics and notes for each cook.

I love that the Fireboard app retain all previous cook session logs, great for reference back to previous cooks!

I feel like the Fireboard delivers accuracy. One thing I know for certain--to echo others' feedback--is I love the web-based dashboard where I can store cook logs and graphs easily. I'm a heavy desktop user and, so, their interface is a Godsend to me.

I never use the standard probes anymore.

That pretty much says it all for me. I want one but I do without. I'd rather spend that $300 towards a new weber for non-smokes and sear (my dyna-glo sucks balls)
