Hi- any thoughts on how to cook this on the Traeger? I’ve only boiled corned beef, never done one on the grill
Thanks

I would guess just like a brisket. 220 or so till at 165*F then wrap and 220* until 205* internal temp. Then rest.

Thank you , I looked into this a little further and it seems that smoking a corned beef turns it into a pastrami .???
I have boiled similar quality and size before with excellent results, just a little iffy about trying it on the Traeger

When I do Pastrami (Smoked corn beef) I take it to 135, pull it and wrap it for an hour.

Wow. I had no idea that Pastrami is actually smoked corned beef.

I have read that you need to soak the corned beef in water for 12 hours, changing the water every four to dilute some of the salt from the brining process. Otherwise it may be too salty in the end....

I've followed Malcom Reed's recipe for smoked corn beef on the Traeger and turns out great! make sure to smoke the whole cabbage also!
