Hi all, first time poster here - loving this forum, there's so much useful info informing me ahead of buying my first Traeger..!

Hopefully an easy question (and I've searched the forums and couldn't find any info on this) - I'm planning on setting up my Traeger (either a Timberline 850 or 1300) on my roof terrace, up two flights of stairs. Not *too* worried about getting it up there, worst case I can take it up with a friend piece by piece. But... once assembled, how easy would it be for two people to carry it back downstairs - or would it need disassembly first, in your opinions?

All being well, hoping to purchase a Timberline 850 or 1300 in the next month or so, the carrying question could influence my purchase..!

Thanks in advance...

Well....the T-1300 is very heavy, though maybe if you could use the wheels to go down one step at a time? Even carrying it is doable, but you'll need a couple of strong people to assist - it's an expensive grill to have tumble down the stairs (and you could get hurt) as well. The lid would come off relatively easy, and if you take out the grates as well, it would probably help.

One more thing....if you are planning on doing this up and down thing once in a blue moon, sure....if you are expecting to do this weekly, you probably won't need to go to the gym :)

The assembled T1300 grill is something like 226 pounds, so Grumpy is right. This is a heavy monster, but the grates weigh a lot - I'm guessing 40 pounds or so. It would be possible to move it up and down the stairs, but it would be awkward to say the least. How wide are the stairs? Wide enough to easily fit the 2' 4" or so with space on both sides for the inevitable wobble?
