Hi Folks

I have a 575 Pro which is coming up to 3 years old, been used a reasonable amount, always stored under Traeger waterproof cover.

Recently it stopped igniting, the hopper feeder works fine but the hot rod simply will not get any heat in it, I have (as advised by retailer) replaced the hot rod today but I still don't get any heat into it.

Any advice?

What are your other observatoins?

One thing that might be helpful is to remove the grates, drip tray, and flame shield so you can see into the fire pot as you try to ignite the grill.

1. Did the controller power on normally?
2. If you prime the auger, do you hear and pellets drop from the auger tube into the burn pot?
3. Are you hearing the blower fan as it pushes air into the burn pot to sustain combustion?
4. Can you see if the hot rod is getting hot? It might even glow red. Perhaps the wiring was not reconnected properly after replacing the hot rod.

If the hot rod is getting hot and fuel and air are introduced to the burn pot, you should get fire. If either one of the three is missing, you will fail.

Hi

Thanks for the reply.

Numbers 1, 2 & 3 are fine, no problem with that at all.

Number 4, no, the hot rod doesn’t get hot at all.

Cheers

Call Traeger. Is there a fuse blown? Bad wire or loose connection?
