Hello, I’m new to the forum and would like to know if there is anyone here that could possibly ID my traeger, because for the life of me I cannot find it anywhere online. My father got this from a friend of his and he have used a few times, unfortunately the fan quit on us and I need a replacement for it. Is there a link or something I could use or buy that would work? Any info is useful to me right now as I am somewhat new to the community and still learning.

Traeger first started producing pellet grills in the mid-1980s. Since your grill seems to be similar in design to an offset smoker, I suspect yours was made in the early years. As such, it is highly unlikely that replacement parts are available. However, since many grills today share similar parts, you might be able to purchase a fan designed for a newer grill and adapt it for your older one. Whether it will work and be worth the effort is debatable.

Remember though, that technology has come a long way since the first Traegers were designed. Your grill has only three settings: high, medium, and low/smoke. The newer grills have digital PID controllers (proportional, integral, derivative) using feedback from a temperature probe. You can control your grill through an app on your phone if you desire.

Compared to today's grills, I suspect the body of your grill is far more substantial.

Yeah, it’s a very heavy duty Traeger. I’m hoping the fan I’m about to buy will work for it. It is a fan for a newer model with totally different connections than the original. Thank you for the comment!! Any info I get is gonna help me out with learning and applying what I learn to my cooking/grilling/smoking!
