New to the forum, posted in the new member section. I have a Pro22 I got for $75 after buying some new furniture. It was new in the box. I am loving it! My question is about the bottom of the pellet hopper. It’s open and I’m in the south so dirt dobbers get into things. So do wasp and I’m allergic to bees. Has anyone modified or made a cover for this to keep the critters out?

Thank y’all

Not a bad idea. I was also thinking about a large hairnet but would take it off when grilling. But since my head is pretty slick I may ask my wife to find one.

I was thinking about this. Rather than using the non-woven Swiffer pads that are designed to trap dust, you might consider using a woven mesh such a the fiberglass screen material used to repair window screens. The nice thing about using fiberglass is that it provides fire resistance. It is not fine enough to trap fine dust or impede air flow, but will keep out insects.

Dirt dobbers? Oh great, now I have something else to worry about.

Hairnet worked
