App and grill ?

I recently entered the world of Traeger and got a 570. I got it connected on my 2.4 ghz network. My phone usually is on 5ghz or 6 6hz. When my phone is on 2.4 I have complete control of the grill. If my phone is 5 or 6ghz I can see the grill in the app on line but i can't control it. Is this normal?

Once you initially pair the app will work regardless of which network you’re on. You should still have complete control riding down the road if you have Internet.

• 2.4 GHz home WiFi network
• Grill location within range of your home WiFi network

Make sure you've got the following set up before pairing your grill:

• Home WiFi network with a 2.4 GHz channel.
