Any recommendations Turkey Brine setups or where to purchase economical priced turkey bring bags? Not looking for a kit with the brine just a sealable brine bag for up to 22 pound turkeys. We have used turkey baking bags in the past but they seem to always leak some into the cooking pan during the refrigeration period. I have seen 5 gallon food safe bucket liners that are reasonable but our refrigerator size will not accept a 5 gallon pail unless we take most of the shelves out.

Thanks for other ideas

I had not considered a higher quality re-usable brine bag in place of a one time use disposable. I will order and rinse, dry, and fold for next use. Better for the environment.

I will now be like my Mother as she rinses her zip-lock bags and reuses them. The commercial (about avoiding "Parentamorphosis") comes up in my mind now "don't be your parents" :ROFLMAO: .

Thanks Slimpicker

Appreciate your information. 12.5 mils thick they look like a thick bag. Just checked the link and they are currently unavailable which likely is due to heavy demand period from Thanksgiving thru Christmas. I will recheck in the future to see how they are priced. Have current order for the reusable brine bags from Slimpicker's link above but they are not due until next week. Currently the Christmas Turkey is in the refrigerator brining in a oven roasting bag with a second bag for safety in a roasting pan waiting for the smoker.

Thanks

Hello there, folks. Thanks a lot for your recommendations. I’ve never thought that finding a turkey bag could be such a problem. Luckily I’ve found the perfect one. Thank you!! Btw, I’m currently looking for where I could buy some Halloween bags. I need 200 of them, so I’d be grateful for your suggestions. Actually, the best option I’ve managed to find is this one https://www.interplas.com/halloween-bags. I’d be really grateful for your ideas on it. Thanks in advance. Best wishes, folks.

I brine 2 turkeys every year. (22-24 lb.) and use 8 gallon bucket. Yes, I have to remove shelves for it, but it's only for a couple days, and it's worth the effort. Here's the bucket I use. Mine does not have a spigot.
