I needed a place to store tools on the IW and miss the bottom cabinet from my Webber gas grill. So step one was to build a simple bottom shelf out of scrap pre-finished hard wood flooring material left over from home renovations a couple years ago. The tongue and groove setup of flooring makes it really easy to get a nice, sturdy shelf without having to add brace pieces below. A friend borrowed my table saw so I still need to rip a piece to make it full width but I'm not sure that really matters as this creates about a 13" wide shelf which is likely enough. Step two, I'll either use a simple rubbermaid bin or build a box to store some tools and supplies down there and keep the bugs away.
